St. Joseph woman in serious condition after wreck

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - A St. Joseph woman is in serious condition after an accident over the weekend. Joy Deatherage, 53, was driving a 2006 Kawaski Vulcan northbound on Route JJ, five miles south of St. Joseph, at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities say she failed to curve with the road, crossing the center line, and going off the west side, overturning. She was taken by Life Net to K-U Medical with serious injuries. She was wearing a helmet.
